Message from the CEO: What does ‘Smart city’ mean to you?
A “SMART CITY” means different things to different people and varies from city to city and country to country. It depends on the level of development, willingness to change and reform, resources and aspirations of citizens. Each one of us will have a certain imagination of SMART city with a wish list of infrastructure and services that can enhance our quality of life.
To improve quality of life of ELCitizens, ELCITA aims at developing the entire eco-system, represented by the four pillars of comprehensive development- institutional, physical, social and economic infrastructure. ELCITA can work towards developing such comprehensive infrastructure, adding layers of ‘smartness’ ONLY when each one of the citizens aspire for it and partner the cause. ELCITA has set up systems and processes for governance, security management, estate management and sustainable development.
You have cooperated and supported ELCITA in all its activities. Now more than ever, your participation is critical to avoid ‘Waste to landfill’, littering on roads and pavements, discharge of wastewater into drains, creation of litter spots, smoking in public spaces, traffic violations and parking violations, adopt responsible disposal of e-Waste and responsible water and energy usage, and move towards a swacch and SMART e-city.
I am sure you share the dream of ‘Swachh SMART e-city’ and will join ELCITA in making that happen. Let us lead the way as always!
