Message from the CEO – SWM Workshop
You may all know about Electronics City’s comprehensive solid waste management (SWM) strategy. Over the last few years, SWM at E-city has come a long way with 74 companies signing up with ELCITA for destination-bound processing of waste and about 3 tons of waste per day coming to the waste collection center.
In order to take this effort to the next level, ELCITA is organizing a workshop on SWM to understand best practices and share learnings.
Members will get together on 16th February 2016 at Hotel Radha Regent, and interact with government officials, industry experts and solution providers. Invitees include Subodh Yadav, BBMP Special Commissioner, SWM, Muni Raju, Joint Commissioner, Bommanahalli Zone – BBMP, Nalini Shekar, Co-Founder, Hasirudala, and Dr. S.R. Maley, Eco-Save Mumbai (an expert who has pioneered and implemented low-cost landfill restoration projects.
Please email subhan@elcita.in for more details and registration.
I am also happy to share that Nikad India, a pioneer in financial outsourcing, helped clean the private land on the Perkinn Road to East Phase toll gate. ELCITA has now fenced the area, deployed security guards, and planted saplings to prevent any further littering.
